Robohelp 2019 14.0.8 Rename File Not Working

  • August 7, 2019

Renaming an image, field, or other file renames the file with FirstName.xxx.

Sample: My Firstname is Bruno. All renamed files begins with bruno.ext (bruno.png, bruno.htm ...)

The new file (bruno.ext) is moved outside the projet folders and the original file is deleted.

French Version with tfs 2019 and Windows server 2019 VM.

Hi Bruno

This is happening due to dot (.) in parent folder name. That can cause issues in renaming inside RoboHelp

If you remove the . then renaming should start working fine.

This issue is in our todo list for future updates.

Please make sure that folder names don't have dot(.) character. Give it a try and let us know if this fixes your case.

I'm sorry but you will need to explain that more clearly. Explain step by step what happens.

Hi,

1) First create new topic

2) Rename file:

File is automatically renommed with my firstname and moved in parent folder

I have the same behavior with all files types on action rename
