RoboHelp 2022: Output presets disappeared, can't create new

Has anyone seen their Output Presets disappear from the project?

After closing the project yesterday, I opened it back up to find that there were no more saved presets.

Even worse, now I can't create a new preset.

The Mac app is more buttoned up than the Windows version, so there are no directories to wade through, and I don't know of a way to reset preferences.

Oddly, I can see the presets in the project directory, though they seem to be too small to contain useful data.

I plan on reinstalling Rh for Mac, and also trying to open a copy of the project in Rh for Win.

Any other ideas?

3kb is about right. About RoboHelp sample for frameless is 2kb. Open one in a text editor. They are quite simple files.

Step 4 is using Explorer, as you probably guessed.

I have seen it but some time back.

    1. In Windows (because I can't help on Mac) create a backup first.
    2. Open the project and delete the presets.
    3. Close the project.
    4. Copy the presets in from an earlier backup.

I believe that was the fix.

One other piece of the puzzle...near as I can tell, the presets disappeared after I set up a Publish Server (using the FTP option) and got it successfully saved. While the connection appeared valid, it was after attempting to publish to server in Rh that I noticed the Output Presets were gone and couldn't be recreated.

Opening the project in Windows version had same results as on Mac...no presets exist, and none can be created.

Thanks Peter, but I gave up, created a new project, copied over HTML files, templates, conditions, filters, assets, and recreated the output preset from scratch.

Before going to the new project, I would have tried copying in the presets, but they were all listed as 3K in size, so no detail to be gleaned from them. Plus, unable to create new presets of any kind in the old project.

I'll leave this topic unmarked, since it may be helpful to others that encounter the same oddity.
