RoboHelp 8/RoboHelp Server 9 and Single Sign On (SSO)

Question

Hello,We are currently using RoboHelp 8 and are looking into purchasing RoboHelp Server 9.  Before we purchase the product, we want a single sign-on solution for our application with RoboHelp as the Help Authoring Tool. The help documents are based on group roles and permissions. We currently publish PDF documents and set permissions based on single-sign on (SSO).  Is it possible to integrate RH Server with a LADP system and a custom DB for authentication? Can it be integrated in a single sign-on infrastructure? How does the access control mechanism work? Can I set permissions who is allowed to view certain documents/projects?Make Yours an Incredible Day, Verlean

I doubt it Verlean but as I said, I do not use LDAP. I believe it only works on their userid/password. I've try and contact someone at Adobe and see if they can contribute to this thread to confirm one way or the other. An interesting scenario.

Hi Verlean.I haven't used it myself but you certainly can use LDAP with RoboHelp Server 9. It is all set-up in your Context within the Configuration Manager (see below).You can also secure an area making it necessary for the end user to have a secure userid and password to view the output.
