RoboHelp 9 issue with Word 2010

I wondered similar when I recently upgraded a longstanding project from Word 2003 formatted documents to word 2010 documents.  (This being necessary because of compiled project search result issues I was having in the 9.02 patch).  I note that the base template for all word documents is RoboHelp.DOT a word 2003 format of template.  Despite using word 2010 that uses *.DOTM (macro enabled Template) or DOTX (2010 non macro enabled template) robohelp itself even in the latest word 2010 compatible version insists on using the old word 2003 format template.  *.DOT.  For some reason Adobe have not enabled use of the appropriate Word 2010 format templates (Well that is how it appears to me)  I tried replacing the robohelp dot with a DOTM / DOTX template,  but no luck.  program would not run  I would think the Robohelp would need to run with a Macro enabled template DOTM if that was available to use but clearly not an option at this time.  Maybe this is not an option because of bacward compatibility issues ?  but an eithor /or option to use a template in word 2003, 2007 or 2010 native formats would be nice in other words when using word 2010 it should not be dependent on using a word 2003 format template. 

It does make me wonder if the compatibility mode issues were the root cause of some ofthe issues I was having earlier in build result  / Search result issues ?

The aren't too many supporters of the RoboHelp for Word forum now. I only occasionally look at it to try to help.

I guess you could try editing the properties of the underlying template but make a backup copy of it first. I have no way of knowing if that change will upset RoboHelp somewhere along the way.
