RoboHelp Classic 2019 Webhelp does not return search results in IE compatability view

I have a webhelp project that is authored in robohelp classic 2019 for a web application that only supports IE8 and lower (the app does not work on Chrome or Firefox). In order to open or access this web application I have to add the site to Compatibility View because we are on IE 11 now.

When I generate my webhelp file and deploy it to my organization's production build, it seems the Search tab doesn't return any search results when I access the webhelp in IE compatibility view. I also noticed a javascript error appears as I use my mouse to hover over the search icon (see the screenshot attached). In addition, when I access the webhelp file from my local machine, the Search does work in IE compatability view.

Has anyone else had this issue? Is there a work around?

Thanks,

Kim

If you push it to a webserver, does it behave correctly?

I find that you often have to add the location where the WebHelp resides as a "Trusted Location" in IE to get it to work.

It is a trusted site and it still doesn't work. But thank you for the suggestion.
