RoboHelp Classic is Giving Me an Error Message for Just One File

Hello.  I'm having an issue with RoboHelp 2020 and Classic Project Upgrade.  I've got multiple files that have worked OK with no issue, but this one file keeps giving me an error message.  I've deleted my file and recopied it from the server, as well as just recopying the problem child within that file, and still no luck.  I've had three coworkers, as well as my user support tech try to help me on this, and no luck.  The tech support guy told me to post my question here.  My coworkers all have older versions of RoboHelp.  This file is in a foreign language, so it's not like I can just delete that page and recreate it.  All other files have been exactly the same but in different languages, and still no issue.  Does anyone have any suggestions, because we're all stumped at this point.  Should I just try to get an older version of RoboHelp at this point?  Thanks in advance.

While RH2020 isn't known for its helpful messages (IMO) what message do you get? If you switch to the code view are there any errors there - you might need to scroll down to see if there are any icons on any lines in the file?

Also, if you and your co-workers need to work on the same merged project suite, you must all be using the same version (I would also recommend the same patch number).  (This advice is just in case you aren't upgrading the projects in preparation for your colleagues to also upgrade...)

An output file from the server will not help without a lot of cleaning up. It contains information not in a source file and does not contain information that is needed in a source file.

I think the first thing I would try is to open the file in the browser and then copy that into a text editor to lose all formatting. Then paste that into the source file, maybe a new source file. Alternatively try the same from an older backup if it has not changed significantly.

Do create a backup of the new project before you go any further to protect yourself against anything else going wrong?

Let us know if that works.
