RoboHelp clean URL issue

RoboHelp has released a new patch update 08 through which we can generate clean URLs using frameless output.

My query is :

We want to remove #t in URLs that are auto generated by earlier version of Adobe Robo help tool. https://tutorial.gst.gov.in/userguide/registration/index.htm#t=Apply_for_Registration_Normal_Taxpayer.htm

Can this be done in Adobe Robo Help 2019 Patch 8? If yes, how?

I'm not sure what you mean by the option to generate is disabled. Could you provide specific steps and a screenshot to show where you're talking about?

Thanks for reverting.

When we open an existing RH file (created in older version) in new version (with patch 😎 using option “Upgrade Robohelp Classic project”, option to generate frameless output is disabled. How can I enable this option for old project?

index.htm#t= is what opens responsive help with a specific topic and the frames. You can remove all that part (not just the #t=) and the topic will open with a link that opens the TOC etc. In other words you get the topic without the frames.

The choices are:-

  • Frameless skin and direct URLs.
  • Responsive skins with index.htm#t= and all the frames.
  • Responsive skins without and just the topic frame.

It's really a continuation of how webhelp worked when there was just the hash symbol between the start page and context topic. It's a limitation of help with frames.
