Does Adobe have a (or plan to release) a community edition of Robohelp.

I have a couple of friends that are thinking about creating a small freeware application with a .chm help file.

Since this is not a commercial project they cannot afford to purchase a full license of robohelp for this but would
like to have a version of robohelp that can nbe used for free in non-commercial projects.

Question 2: When will RoboHelp have support for Word 2007?

The short answer is No. However, you can create CHM help without RoboHelp using Microsoft's HTML Help Workshop. Try this link. http://tinyurl.com/3nznp

RoboHelp, like any other HAT makes life easier to create the topics but uses the help compiler to create the help.

You could also use FAR from http://www.helpware.net. That is not free but it is low cost and will make life easier.

Support for Word 2007 is expected to be in the next version. We don't have dates other than sometime this year.
