RoboHelp corrupted files?

Hi, again,

Last Friday, I was having RoboHelp problems again; the system was getting more and more sluggish, until finally I tried to open a file and got an error message to the effect of "... cannot access database...corrupt files..." etc. (I know, I wish I'd written the damned things down...). As this is the second time in about two months this has happened, my colleagues were a little concerned about what might be causing this. We were able to recover RoboHelp via backup tapes.

Anyone know how RoboHelp files get corrupted, or why there would be a database access problem?

Thanx,
Lon

Hi Lon

What version of RoboHelp? If it's X5, you can locate the ProjectName.CPD file and blow it away. RoboHelp HTML should rebuild a fresh one after you do this.

Also, where is your project located? If you reply back with "on our company network", this may have more than a bit to do with why the database became corrupt. Click here to read an article about project location

Cheers... Rick
