Hello, I am trying to redefine the label AND TOOLTIP on buttons in the default skins files in roboHelp HTML 7.

I have been able to change the label from Contents to Contenu but the tooltip still shows as Contents. My question is....how do I change to tool tip?

Many thanks

    Hi there

    To do that you need to edit the LNG file.

    To edit the LNG file:

    Click File > Project Settings.

    From the General tab, click the Advanced button.

    From the Advanced Settings for Localization dialog click the LNG file tab.

    Scan the long list of items and you will find where the tooltips exist.

    I think in this case it's listed in the [Common] section.

    Contents=Contents

    Change to Contents=Contentu

    Cheers... Rick

    Welcome to the forums.

    Are you working with a localized version of your project? You can change the project language by going to File > Project Settings and selecting the language.  When you generate your single source layout, the corresponding translations will be used in the buttons and tooltips.

    Hi Whitbyro and welcome to the RH community.

    Unfortunately I'm not sure you can change the tooltip text as I suspect they are hardcoded. You may be able to edit the webhelp output files but as this is not really my territory I'll leave it up to someone else who produced webhelp to chime in here.
