Question

RoboHelp HTML 10 and SVN

Hello,

We are experiencing issues when using RoboHelp HTML 10 with SVN.

I have created a small project containing two topics and checked it into SVN. My colleague can then get the project from SVN and the topics appear within the RoboHelp interface as expected. However, if I then add new topics into the RoboHelp project and check them into SVN, when my colleague gets the files (which appear on his hard drive as expected), they are not picked up within the RoboHelp interface.

I have read this thread (http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1072217), however deleting the CPD file either manually or setting the check box in RoboHelp has not made a difference.

There was no issue using RH9 and SVN - this is a new phenomenon (the project I have created is a small test project, but our larger, production project is experiencing the same problems). We have a basic set up - we don't use a PushOK plugin for RoboHelp; we have set the CPD and PSS files to ignore in SVN.

Any help would be greatly appreciated since if this cannot be fixed it would be a major issue for us.

Many thanks,

Mark Bower

Hi Mark.

So you are doing SVN Checkouts manually via the Windows Explorer interface? Also by "not picked up" do you mean they do not display in the RH interface? If the topics have been added to the TOC / Index do they appear there? In other words, is it just the topic files that are being lost?

Has your colleague tried deleting the CPD file at their end?

Hi Colum,

Thanks for replying.

Yes, we are doing SVN Checkouts manually via the Windows Explorer Interface. And yes, by 'not picked up' I mean that they are not displaying in the RH interface.

I have just added an index and a toc and checked them in to SVN. They appear to being picked up consistently in the RH interface by my colleague when he does a check out.

The topic files are not being picked up in RH however although, oddly, *very* occasionally they do (perhaps 1 time out of 5, possibly fewer).

My colleague has cleared his cpd file each time before he opens the project.

Is no-one able to shed any light on this?
