Robohelp search doesn't return results or spins indefinitely unless we clear cache every day.

Aren't there admin controls on SP that set caching for sites? Have you had your SP admin check that out?

FTP is a method of transferring files rather than hosting them. WAMP is something I am not familiar with but Google says "WAMP (Windows, Apache, MySQL, PHP) is a popular software bundle that turns a Windows PC into a local web server for developing dynamic websites and applications offline, acting as a private sandbox for testing projects like WordPress before going live, much like LAMP (Linux) or MAMP (Mac) for other systems. That makes me wonder if something about that is behind your problem, which is not one I have seen posted. The search fixes are described at https://helpx.adobe.com/robohelp/kb/fixed-issues.html but the key issue was search not working at all but not in the way you describe.
