RoboHelp X5 and MS Word 2007

Hi,

I am going to have a new laptop soon. Currently, I am using RoboHelp X5 and MS Word 2003. I have the option to install MS Word 2007 on my new laptop.

My question is "Does MS Word 2007 work with RoboHelp X5?"

Unfortunately it does not. If it is important to you to combine Word with RoboHelp, you should consider upgrading RoboHelp to version 7.

HI there

RoboHelp has been issued two patches since it was initially released. Basically you click Help > Updates... from inside RoboHelp and it should check for updates.

I am going to get RoboHelp 7 soon. Will I be able to open my RoboHelp X 5 project through RoboHelp 7?

Hi again

Yes, you may open the X5 project in 7. But just to be on the totally safe side, I'd make a backup copy of your project before working on it in 7. Also, make sure all patches have been applied to RoboHelp before attempting to open the older projects.
