Robohelp9 and hhctrl.lib

Once upon a time we started to use Robohelp9 and compiled our code with Visual Studio 2012.

We are think about moving on to a much newer version of Visual Studio but we are concerned about whether our code will compile successfully, given that we are linking our code to hhctrl.lib

Any thoughts will be much appreciated.

    Is hhctrl.lib a thing with CHMs? Because (surprisingly) you can still create CHMs in RH2022.

    Thanks. Yes, hhctrl.lib is back with RH9 that works with CHMs. That is interesting information.

    Are you actually creating CHMs with RH9? If so, grab yourself a copy of RH2022 trial - patch it all up & run a copy of your RH9 project through it to experiment & see what the CHM output looks like.

    Good luck if you are still using RoboHelp 9. The current version of RoboHelp is 2022 and that is strictly HTML5 and CSS3 compliant. I rather doubt it will work with anything else but I don't know for sure. I haven't seen anyone report they are using that combo. Why would you? You will lose all the features of editing with RoboHelp. It is now a very different tool.

    Thanks for your reply. A long time ago it was decided to stick with Robohelp9 as it was thought to be too much work to move on from it and so we are still stuck with it but suuport for Visual Studio 2012 has now ended, so that is why we are looking to see if we can stick with RH9 but move onto a newer Version of Visual studio.
