Question

Search results are lowercase

Hey, maybe someone can help us here. 🙂

When we search for something in our exported web help, the search results are displayed in lowercase letters, even though they were capitalized in the RoboHelp topic.

I searched for 'Separater Ausgang' and all search results are lowercase:

But when I open one of the topics (in this case I opened the second topic 'Kunden in Abteilungen') the result is written capitalized (which is correct):

So why are the search results in the first picture lowercase? Is there a way to fix this?

Thanks in advance! 😄

Based on your reply, there is no point in testing the sample project, it will be the same result.

There is no setting so the only thing you can do is report it. I'm surprised that no one else has reported it. Maybe they were more interested in finding the topic.

Your example seems to be when the text is in a list of a series of paragraphs. I can't tell which from looking but is it a list in <li> tags>. If it is, does the problem occur when the results of the search are within a regular paragraph?

Try opening the About RoboHelp sample project and see if you can replicate the problem there.

Also take a look at my site and run some searches there. I could not repeat the problem.

Let us know about your project and the sample project.

It also happens if the text is between other HTML tags like normal paragraphs which are'nt in a list.
I also checked your website and I could replicate this problem.

I first searched for 'Practise' and as you can see, the result is lowercase:

But when I opened the topic, I saw that the word is actually capitalized:

I've checked this with Edge and Chrome -> same issue.
I will also try to replicate this in the Adobe RoboHelp sample project tomorrow.

What version of RH? What output format are you using?

    We are using RoboHelp 2022.4.179
The output format is frameless and the output language is 'German (Germany)'
