Setting a document review date

Is there a way to set for each document, a date and notification mechanism? We wanted to review policies for example every 12 months, and have a reminder sent to the owner at month 11 to trigger a review process (outside of RoboHelp).

Nothing inside RH will do this sort of thing for you. You probably need to employ some sort of CMS or source control mechanism to accomplish this.
