Sidebar content lost in context-sensitive help calls

I created context-sensitive help calls for my RH 10 HTML5 project. The calls display the correct topic; however, I lose the contents of the Sidebar (TOC and Index). I reference William van Weelden's blog post on HTML5 Context-Sensitive Help. Great post, but I must have missed a step. Could someone point me in the right direction? Thanks!

Hi,

That is a feature called CSH mode. You can enable/disable widgets to be shown when the help is called context sensitive.

To stop this behaviour:

1. Open the Screen Layout editor and select the Tabbed panel in the sidebar. (That's the panel with the TOC, IDX and Glossary.)

2. Right click and select Screen Layout Properties.

3. Uncheck the checkbox for Do not show in CSH.

4. Save the page.

5. Repeat steps 1-4 for every page in the Screen Layout.

6. Regenerate the output.

Now the sidebar content will be visible when you call the help context sensitive.

Thanks for the reply and steps. Instructions were very clear. I went through the steps for each page in the Screen Layout and regenerated the output. The contents in my Sidebar still do not display in CSH. Do you have any other suggestions?

By the way, I read through the entire section on CSH in RH10 User Guide, and I did not see anything on the "Do not show in CSH" attribute.

Did you refresh the cache in the browser?

I thing something is off in your layout as this does it for me. Can you export the screen layout from your project and sent it to contact wvanweelden eu? I would like to take a look. Please include a link to this thread so that I know what’s it about.
