Skin removes images specified on Home Page and Topic Page so no images appear for Hero image or logo

Using RH 2020.7.46. When I start from scratch, the file works well with Frameless and Orange skin. Under skin, when I select a different Home Page "hero" image (Top Section > container) and generate the output, I lose the image I chose and nothing appears. Under skin, I select the Topic Page > Header > logo and add a new Image path for the logo; when I generate the output, I lose the logo image and nothing appears.

 

Something has to be broken in the Orange skin (somehow) or I am missing something very obvious. Open to all suggestions. Thank you!

    Hero image? Where are you seeing "hero"?

     

     

    Under skin, I select the Topic Page > Header > logo and add a new Image path for the logo; when I generate the output, I lose the logo image and nothing appears.

    Here I have changed the image to one that is in Assets>Images but that just copies that image to the skin folders so Local Files should work as well.

     

     

    It came through in the output as well. Have you tried other images and image file types?

    Sorry, we call it the Hero image for some reason. It is the background on the Home Page, Topic section > container > Background > Image Path.

     

    I've repeatedly done the same steps you did to add the RH logo on the topic page, but the files seem to lose that connection when I generate the output.

     

    I captured screens of the set up in RH and then of the generated version for both the home page and topic page. I don't understand where the project loses the connection between what is specified in the skin and what is generated.
