Question

SnagIt screen shots are changing color once imported to RoboHelp for Word.

I am placing SnagIt (version 7.2.4) screen shots into my Word documentation. (The screen shots are examples of our software windows which were created using Delphi 2006.) Once pasted into the document, the screen shot coloring is a good replica of the actual screen.

After I import the document to RoboHelp for Word, the screen shot coloring is still a good replica of the actual screen.

However, after I compile the project and then view the results, I find that the screen shot coloring can change to have a pink cast to it, or sometimes a yellow cast. This is not consistent; sometimes the screen shot has the correct coloration, other times it's off.

Has anyone run into this before; and if so, were you able to resolve the problem?

Hi Artista KSS and welcome to our community

You are probably seeing a conversion occurring that is reducing the color depth. One way to overcome this is to use SnagIt to reduce the color depth prior to adding the screen captures to your Word document.

There may be other ways to influence your outcome. I'll leave other ways for others to explain or offer.

Thanks, Rick! I reduced the color depth on the SnagIt window and my results are much better! I appreciate your help.
