TCS3 Can't edit FM to RH conversion settings from imported book

I was demonstrating to a client last week how the FM to RH conversion process works (using AIR Browser based Help as output). The FM book has imported fine, TOC etc all working as they should. However the RH output has used the FM styles with no conversion, so I checked the Conversion settings, and they are either blank (Paragraph & Character settings for both FM and RH), or greyed out (Pagination etc). The project is using the in built RHStyleMapping.css. It's not a panic at this stage as this was just a proof of concept excercise, but I do need to have this working at some stage .

Anyone else seen this?

Mark

On an import, you have to set the conversion settings after you select the book; once it's imported, you can't change the settings.

Hi Jeff,

I don't recall seeing the conversion settings dialog box, but I'll try again to make sure I'm not going loopy

On a related matter, if you ignore the conversation settings (as I appear to have done), and then import a settings file (*.isf) and a Master Page and CSS file, what happens?

It's easy to miss because it's just a button that opens up a whole new screen of Paragraph, Character, Tables, etc. formatting choices. It's where you set the Pagination settings (to break up the FM content into separate RH topics) also.

If you make all these settings, they can now be saved (didn't use to work in TCS2 for imported projects, only linked) and reused in new imported projects by exporting an .isf settings file and importing it into a new project (in the File > Project Settings screen). I don't believe that the .isf file stores your choices for Master Page and CSS file, but I've never checked that out to confirm/deny that.

*Update*

Decided to try again, this time by creating a new blank project, then linking the FM book file to it. This time it worked fine. So why the issue with creating the project with the FM book?

Now just have to figure why selected index entries aren't highlighted in the page text?...
