Question

TOC disappearing on some topic links

Running RH 2022.2.22 on windows PC.

In one topic, I have links to several other topics. When I click on all of them (excpet one), the TOC remains open in the side panel. But when I click this one topic, it complete disappears. The panel is still open, but there is no TOC content. If I collapse and re open the TOC panel, the TOC reappears.

Any ideas what might be happening and how to fix it?

Thx.

 Lori

Can you share the project? If you can, then see the Contact page on my site and send the project as instructed there. Do make sure you include a link to this thread and please do not email the project direct.

Please also advise the topic that has this problem.

I cannot. However, we found a workaround. We had the topic in a searchable but non displaying part of the TOC. We moved it to a displaying portion of the TOC and it works fine. We have other topics in that non displaying area that never had this problem.

Have you looked at the code for a good link and a bad link to see if there is a difference?

Yes, I have looked at the code. No difference.

Does this happen in the generated output or the published output on the web server or both? If it's only in the published output, perhaps there is some caching on the web server that is causing table of contents weirdness.

Published frameless output viewed local on my computer. Same for my colleague - she publsihed frameless output viewed on her computer.

Kinda bizzare - is it happening on the sample project too?

Yes. Issue is within one single project.
