Topic link to the wrong topic when making changes to the same document

I don't know if anyone is having the same problem as I am. Whenever I make changes to a topic, compiled, and view my changes. The most of the links with that document are broken. What even worse is when I clicked on the index, some of them are broken too.

Please, please, can anyone out there help me resolve or fix this problem. I did a search for broken link on the forum, and not much help.

I'm using RoboHelp x5 and Word 2002 running Window XP. I have also installed it on another machine with Word 97.

Are the links internal or external to the project? If external, check the paths to ensure they are still relevant to the output location. Also do you have broken links showing in the project tab? If so, try and fix these and recompile.
