Question

Topic status in Robohelp 2020 inconsistent after changing status

After changing the topic status from within the opened topic, I see a different topic status for some of the topics, depending on where I look.

New status shown correctly:

  • Right click and then select topic properties
  • Open topic and go to topic properties
  • Head section of the topic

Old status shown  here:

  • Topic properties report
  • Topic list
  • color displayed in "contents/assets":

I defined two extra topic statuses of my own in my topic properties, I chose custom colors for those as well.

This is crucial because I use topic statuses to filter my output. What's not finished doesn't go in.

I have run out of ideas where to look. Am I doing something wrong?

What am I missing?

After changing are you saving? That could account for a difference. Beyond that restarting the project would be next.

Topic Properties for example will only change once opened when you save.

Also you could try only adding a topic to the TOC when it is finished. What is not in the TOC doesn't go into the build.

    Thank you.

Actually I got confused, it is not the topic status but the topic level tags in properties that are inconsistent. Sorry about that.

    The inconsistency is there, though.

I need to work out when it happens and will be back with a new thread.
