Trouble activating Adobe RoboHelp (2015 release) (Windows,English) Version: 12.0.4.460

I've been trying for several days now, to activate. Chatting with support, validated, that I do in fact have a valid activation key. After 45 minutes of back and forth they said they cannot support me, and directed me to a couple of web pages. Truly.... frustrating.

Error descriptions:

A) When starting the app:

"The serial number xxxx is already in use by the maximum allowed computers. You need to deactivate another computer within 18 days to use this product."

B) When attempting to activate:

"We are unable to validate this serial number for Adobe Robohelp 2015. Please contact Customer Support."

I've logged into my Adobe account, found that there are ZERO products activated, so I'm unable to deactivate anything there.

Thank you for any assistance. The lack of phone support was suprising, as Adobe use to do so to great effect.

There could be two factors at play here.

I think initially the activation server was taken down for a technical reason but Adobe provided a special version on request.

Later there was some legal reason why Adobe could not activate older versions of any of their products and that could be the reason here.

Whatever the reason it is up to Support to explain that and not bounce you here. Go back to them and be insistent on a proper explanation.

You should contact the RH folks directly by e-mail - see https://helpx.adobe.com/contact/enterprise-support.other.html#robohelp for your Adobe Support options. I'd recommend using the tcssup@adobe.com e-mail address as it reaches a team dedicated to Technical Communication Suite products including RoboHelp.
