Unpublished Content Displaying in Search Results

I created one Guide for two different groups by applying conditional build tags.  As I was testing the "Search" feature, topics also displayed for the second group if it contained information related to my search.

How do I fix this?  I only want topics related to the first group to show up in the Search results.

Welcome to our community

Are yuou possibly referring to the new Dynamic User Centric Content (DUCC) feature offered by RoboHelp 9?

Otherwise, If you configure a condition that removes a topic, it should not be found when you perform a search as it will not be present among the output files. End of story. If it's being found, you likely haven't applied the condition correctly or there is some other obscure action mucking things up.

Cheers... Rick

I have the same problem with RH8.

The TOC contains only those books/topics that I specified with conditional build tags, but:

  • The CHM filesize is the same as the full version.
  • Searches return topics not specified.
  • Links in specified topics to unspecified topics work normally.

Are these bugs in RH8?

Hi,

The TOC contains only those books/topics that I specified with conditional build tags

What exactly did you apply the conditional build tags to?

If you apply a build tag in the TOC, the topic is just excluded from the TOC, not from your output. To exclude the topic itself, you need to apply a conditional build tag to the topic. Open topic properties, go to the tab Advanced and add the relevant Topic-level tags. The topics will now be excluded as per your setting in the SSL.

Greet,

Willam
