Unresponsive script in the index tab while scrolling- webhelp

Hello,

Basically I have about 400 items in my index. When I scroll down the list (which appears to trigger the script error) on Mac OSX 10.5.8 using Safari 5.03 or Firefox 3.6.3, large blocks of index words dont appear and then I receive the following error message.

Im using Robohelp 8.02, this bug appears to be mac only however Ive only tested on windows XP so far. It seems like if you sit and let the entire list of index words load before you start to scroll it doesnt break, only when you scroll past the loaded portion... Any suggestions?

    Hi Matt,

    I am having the exact problem, also in WebHelp output from RoboHelp 8.0.2 (specifically 8.0.2.208, which I believe is the latest available version of RH 8). The only additional information I have is this from our QA team:

    • This bug only happens on OSX.
    • I have reproduced this issue on OSX FF9, FF11, Chrome. 
    • This does not happen on:

              Windows XP IE8, FF3, Chrome

              Window 7 IE9, FF9, Chrome

              Ubuntu FF9, Chrome

    Unfortunately, I don't have any suggestions.
