User Authentication in RH 6 Server

Question

Hello all.

I'm curious about how user authentication works in RH6
Server. Once applied to a RH6 project, will users be required to
enter a login/password or is authentication handled on a group
policy basis?

Hi, hpankin.By "user" are referring to the end user visitor to thewebsite where the project was published, or authentication of theRoboHelp author who may be part of a user group and wants topublish to the RH Server site?If you followed the setup steps outlined hereGettingStarted Guideand hereRoboHelpServer 6 Permissions Guidethe authors should be part of the RoboPublish Group. Eachauthor will still need to create a link to the server using theWebHelp Pro or FlashHelp Pro publishing wizard. This is where theauhentication for the authors takes place.Let me know if this addresses your question. I am not a"real" IT person but I do run RH 6 Server on my web server and theabove links are what I used.Thanx,john
