Using URL's to help chm files

I am investigating using RoboHelp for producing out Help files/user Guides and training manuals as it will eliminate repetative work and keep versioning control. However our application is a J2EE based product on an ASP model. Can we produce a seperate site for the Help files produced by Robohelp and have context sensitive help in the application open up a URL in the help files via a reference tag.
ie The application has a code eg. called "creating order", how would this be passed to the Robohelp files to bring up the right pages??
Any help would be appriciated.
thanks

    Welcome to the forum.

Won't this be a web hosted application sitting on a server? If so I don't think you want a CHM file as the help, the correct format would be WebHelp. Why? See the topic below which explains why CHM files don't work on a server without hacking the registry, which your customers might not appreciate.

If you then decide to go with WebHelp there are some topics on my site about calling that form of help.
