If you wanted to create a variable that contains an image, that is no longer possible in RH2019 New UI or RH2020. (Technically you can write the html for the link yourself, but the path will be wrong depending on your folder structure, so I wouldn't recommend it.)

If you want different images in different outputs, you might be able to use snippets and conditions to achieve what you want.

Can you provide more information about what you are trying to do?

I'm not clear on the objective here. If it is to have a variable within an image, that is not possible.
