Why are my html files not updated?

I'm a complete novice when it comes to RoboHelp 2022, because boy howdy has it changed from when I used to work with this back in the early 2000s. Anyway, I was editing an existing project in one subfolder which contained all of my topic files and the output !SSL! folder was in another subfolder that contained all of the html docs. Now here's where it gets weird. I generate the output file, and when you open the compiled html file, everything looks grand. All changes are made and show up great - BUT, when I open the individual html files in this same subfolder, nothing has changed, it's still the old content. So what's the story with that?  How is it that the compiled file is fine, when the individual pages are the old content? Maybe I'm just not understanding what's going on and how those individual html are being generated, but I just want to make sure those files are correct, just in case.

Double-check the Output Path in the output preset to see where it's generating to. New UI was changed to prevent a common classic problem of generating output files over the top of your source topics by accident. So it might not be generating to where you think. (By default I think it generates to a subfolder in your "Documents/My Robohelp Projects" folder.)

I think there is also a setting to make the path relative to your source project, but I think it still forces it to be outside the project directory.

I'm also assuming "compiled html file" means the generated Responsive or Frameless HTML output, not a Compiled HTML (CHM) file. CHM only generates a single, compiled file, so I think any other html files that weren't your source topics would relate to some custom workflow.
