Why is Link > Framemaker Document greyed out in RoboHelp? I am using RH 10 with FM 10 files on CS 3.5; is that why? Do I need to upgrade to TCS 4?

I also link my Frame source to my Robohelp project and yes, you absolutely need the TCS suite to do this.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi there

I'm no expert here but I think you may need the TCS version of FrameMaker and RoboHelp in order to "link". As I understand it, each of these versions has some secret handshake that allows the linking to occur.

Hopefully one of the others will pop in here to either refute my understanding or confirm it.

    Cheers... Rick

Thanks Rick, I suspect that's what it is so I will go back to RH9.  I chatted with Adobe Support who said to call tech support but the wait is one hour so I will go with that assumption.

Confirming Rick is right. You do need TCS but that has always been the case.

Adobe changed the routing for tech support a couple of years back and you should not have to wait that long. If you do need to speak to them again, be careful to follow the right path. It is much quicker now for RoboHelp.
