WinHelp 2000 or WinHelp 4

Can I ask what the differences are between WinHelp 2000 and WinHelp 4? Both are designed for using RTF for Win 32 and their overviews appear very similar - except that WinHelp 2000 output consists of 3 files (an additional .dll)

I am developing using RoboHelp5.02, Word 2003, PC, WinXP - producing in house for similar.

Hi DPCHages,

Winhelp 2000 has a different look and feel. It is a halfway house between HTML Help and winhelp. With Winhelp 2000 you get a tripane window (online book) rather than the seperate windows with Winhelp 4. If you have RH try generating the output to see the difference. As you noticed, you will need to ship a few dlls which will need to be registed on each end user PC.

Winhelp 2000 is specific to RH.

Kind Regards
Craig
