Adobe Team Project Auto-Save Issue
Over the past year, myself and my team members have been using the team project feature in Adobe to make it easier to collaborate on the same projects. When it works how it should, it's super handy. However, we've had constant problems with the auto-save not working.
While we're editing, the auto-save feature will get stuck and instead of a green tick, it will have a grey circle. Several times now this has happened without any prompts from the application and it's only an hour or two later when we realise it hasn't saved. We will then try and save locally, which it can't do, and the only option we're left with is quitting the application and losing our work.
When I've been looking for solutions for this problem, it is clear that this has been happening for YEARS and yet this problem still persists?! I would love an Adobe rep to let me know why:
1. This problem consistently happens
2. Why we can't make a local save without needing to convert the team project
3. Why there aren't more workarounds implemented when Adobe CLEARLY knows this is a persistent issue, and I can't understand why there isn't a feature to make a local save that can be used in these scenarios, or why we can't have the auto-save feature for normal projects also used in this team project in case of needing a backup
4. If there is anything genuinely being done to resolve this issue after the several replies since 2017 saying it's being resolved
For context, I'm editing on a Macbook Pro M3 Pro with an external HDD using gigabit ethernet, and I am using Premiere Pro version 25.1.0 (build 73), although this has happened across several updates. I've seen discussion about the drive being slow and needing to wait, but we've tested leaving it overnight and yet it won't miraculously save, and my internet has no issues with dropouts as it's through an enterprise. Something seems to be happening with the auto-save feature dropping out and not being able to fix itself without requiring the whole application to be restarted, and when there's no feature to make a local save, we just lose any progress made after the bug happens.
