Adobe Team Projects Timeline Not Updating

So my friend and I are trying to work on a project together. We already uploaded the media to the creative cloud, so we both have the same footage. The only problem comes when we try sharing the changes made on the project. Once we hit, "Share changes", all we get is the shared footage into the media browser but not the changes we make into the timeline. Matter fact, the timeline is blank. Is there something we're not doing/doing wrong? Do we have to edit different parts of the project into another "main" project? Am I completely wrong for thinking this would work in any way like google docs?

It doesn't show the "____ is editing" on the timeline anymore. It's like I can't see the status of what the other person is doing and they can't see mine. How do we fix this?

Are you on Windows or Mac? Does a machine restart solve the issue?

Im on Windows. And no restarting doesn’t seem to fix it. It’s kind of a
random problem, sometimes it works and updates the other collaborators
status, and sometimes it doesn’t work

I am having this same issue! My coworker shares changes and when I select Get Latest Changes, it updates the the media browser but none of her changes to the sequence. All media is showing online in Media Management. What am I missing??

Hi,

So when you get latest changes from a collaborator, you see all the assets that have been shared but you don't see any changes to a Sequence? Do you mind sending me a screenshots of how the sequence looks for you and on the collaborators side?

Best,
Udo

Hello,

Is there an update on this?

Hi,

In google docs all editors work on the same live instance of the document and changes are applied instantaneously. In Team Project every editor works in their own local sandbox, changes are merged with the  head/master revision once a user shares changes. Other collaborators are then able to 'Get Latest changes' to see the shared changes. Sharing and getting latest changes are actively initiated by user.

Edits to a sequence/timeline should definitely be shared.
Following help document explains the ‘sharing workflow’:

Feel free to contact me directly in case the help document doesn’t answer your question or you still have problems sharing changes with your friend.

HI Udo,

I have with the same problem with my colleague. And we work with the Adobe Creative cloud.

We can see the media on the TEAM PROJECT TAB , but nothing appears on the timeline and we have followed all the steps on the document you have linked before.

Any idea was we have doing wrong?

thanks,

Hi Marlio,

Can you send a screenshot showing the Team projects panel and the timeline?
I suspect you still have to connect your media? When you open the Media Management dialog (Edit > Team Project > Media Management) does your media show under 'Offline' or 'Online'?
You can try and follow the steps in our help doc, but please post back if you still run into trouble.

Add and manage media in Team Projects
