After Effects: Convert to Team Project greyed out. Cant add comps to Premiere TP either

Edit > Team Projects > Entire section is grey

I am not the creator of this file, It was emailed to me. Does this make a difference? The file also will not let me add any of the comps to a Premiere team project. It says "failed to connect to After Effects dynamic link"

Hi,
What type of file are you referring to (.aep, .prproj)?
Do you have the latest versions of Premiere and AfterEffects installed or at least matching previous versions?

If you are in a local After Effects project (.aep) it is correct that the Team Project section is grayed out. You cannot convert a local AE project to Team Project, only the conversion from a Team Project to a .aep is supported.

Best,
Udo

Good to know you cant convert .aep to teams yet.

I have an .aep project and I need to figure out how to get comps from that project into Premiere team projects. I'm trying to avoid rendering and placing the rendered file in Premiere.

I'm using Premiere 15.4.1 and I have tried a few versions of After Effects (18.4.1 and 22..0.1) and both say that it is "Unable to establish dynamic link"
