After Effects crashes on launch – Team Projects authorization error (forbidden despite HTTP 200)

Hey everyone,
I'm facing a recurring crash issue when launching After Effects. I get the following error popup:

After Effects error: Crash in progress
<EACL.CloudProjectsLogin> Finished sending new access token to LocalHub
Followed by a payload with authorized: true, connected: true, but also:
forbidden: {"error_code":"","message":""}
Even though the HTTP status was 200.

It seems related to Team Projects authorization, and the app crashes immediately after this process.

Things I’ve tried:

  • Logged out and back into Creative Cloud.

  • Cleared Media Cache and Preferences.

  • Ran the app as Administrator.

  • Tried launching without internet connection.

My After Effects version:

  • [25.3.2/windos]

Anyone else experienced this issue or knows a workaround (especially to disable Team Projects completely)?

Thanks in advance.

You may also try to launch AE by double-clicking an existing .aep file?
If you exhausted all mentioned troubleshooting steps, please repost this issue in the After Effects community.

the problem was solved thank u, the GPU was not connected to the app

Hi, @Clever_observer8805
Sorry for your troubles - Team Projects cannot be turned off, but I don't believe this issue is Team Project related as I'm seeing the same entry in my AE log (... httpStatusCode: 200, httpLibCode: 0, payload: "[{\"authorized\":true,\"connected\":true,\"forbidden\":{\"error_code\":\"\",\"message\":\"\"}...).

Have you tried the 'Startup Repair Options' when you launch After Effects via Creative Cloud Desktop while holding down 'CTRL + Alt + Shift'?

Have you tried renaming or temporarily moving the entire 25.3.2 folder to another location [C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\After Effects\25.3.2]?
Are you able to open the AE beta build?
