After Effects Team Project doesn't work

I just created my first AE Team Project and when I create a comp, add an object (I've tried shape layers, solids and text), the preview panel just greys out and nothing is shown.

 

I popped back to a standard project and it worked just fine, re-opened the Team Project - same result, greyed out screen.

Hi Udo -- thanks for reaching out. I'm using  AE 23.1.0 (Build 83).

The project started working after the weekend off, but I just created a new AE project via "Replace with After Effects Composition" from a Teams Premiere project (which works just fine) and the new AE project has the same issue -- the comp footage is blacked out, the space bar does nothing and, indeed, the Preview panel is completely greyed out. 

Adding you is touchy, as it's proprietary company stuff...

Interesting... I closed AE, went away for a bit and returned, reopened from Premiere (edit original) and it's working. It would be nice if it worked right away, but...
