dhgb We have identified a problem in 12.1 that causes it to take much longer and use more memory when opening Team Projects that contain one or more large Sequences. We're working on a fix, but I don't have a timetable yet for when it will be available.

Months later.... is there a fix for this yet? This is a supremely obnoxious problem.

Have you tried it in Premiere Pro 12.1.2? To the best of our knowledge, 12.1.2 fixes the problems handling certain h.264 media on MacOS 10.11.6 and elsewhere, and also the excessive slowness and RAM usage when opening large Team Projects.

We are getting the same issue.  Upgraded from 12.0.1 from 12.1.  One team member has Premiere beachball when he tries to open any Team Project made in 12.0.1 with 12.1 Premiere.  It gets stuck on that same "Opening Team Project" screen MokiRim posted.  My workstation was able to open one or two of those 12.0.1 team projects in 12.1 but it took literally 5 minutes to do so when it normally takes 15 seconds.  We downgraded back to 12.0.1 because of this and issues with missing fonts.

Hoping this gets fixed soon because 12.0.1 has terrible import and audio issues for us.

To clarify, does Premiere actually crash, or does it just never finish opening the Team Project, and you need to force it to quit? If it is running, does the cursor change to a beachball/lozenge if try to move the window around? Does the cancel button do anything?

Just trying to get a better handle on what might be going on.

    Hi Gabriel,

Please mention the version of OS, post crash logs or error message screenshot to understand the issue.

If you are on MAC try to follow the steps mentioned in below KB.

Thanks for responding Vinay. Mac OS 10.13.4. Latest updated Premiere Application. Tried your link and went through Options 1-3. NOT WORKING. No crash logs to report. Gets to this point every time before the app stops responding completely.

Do you have any dynamic link items in the Team Project?
