Creating a Slimmed-down Copy of a Premiere Pro Team Project
Hi folks,
We are in the latter stages of an observational feature doc edit using a large Premiere Pro Team Project which is getting very, very sluggish- very long project load times, lots of beach-balling, a very unresponsive interface and lots of freezes and project crashes. We're looking for a way to make the project more responsive. Similar to what we do in AVID we've noticed that if we delete old unused sequences it speeds up the project and improves performance, so we think making a slimmed-down version of the project will help us a lot.
We obviously need to keep all of our media but we've identified lots long sequences that we no longer need in the project. To create a slimmed down version of the project I' proposing to do the following:
1. Get everyone's changes synced and stop editing.
2. Convert the Team Project to a regular PP project
3. Delete the sequences, titles and any media we no longer need
4. Convert this slimmed-down version to a Team Project
5. Invite all of the previous collaborators to join the new Team Project
6. Start editing again hopefully now with a much more responsive project
Is this the best way to make a slimmed-down version of our project? Does anyone have any suggestions of better ways to do this, from a technical Adobe / Team Projects PoV?
Thanks in advance
