Debilitating repetitive crashes in Team Project
Hi All,
Would love your input on this — I'm encountering a sudden change in behavior and totally debilitating crashes with a team project that through last week was working fine. This is quite a large and complicated project for a feature doc involving 150+ hours of footage in a variety of different formats. The storage is on a large NAS connected over 10GbE. As I said, through the end of last week the project was working fine. I was experiencing occasional crashes but since Team Projects save every action I wasn't losing any work and was singing Team Projects' praises. Then I began to encounter a problem where the team project would take forever to open, and often I would cancel, causing Premiere to hang, and I would have to force quit and try again. After a restart, the project would open normally. Then, this morning, it wouldn't open at all. I called up Adobe Support, and the tech walked me through deleting the preferences in the Library and I was able to get the project to open — except that ever since the project takes approximately 20 times as long to load the project media and it crashes within a couple of actions of starting to work. I got back on the phone with support but their best idea was that it's the fault of my NAS that the media reads in slowly, despite the fact that I get an average 800Mbps read on the NAS and I've successfully edited projects stored on the NAS for the last 9 months without a problem.
At this point I'm at a loss — I've tried all the usual tricks, deleting preferences, manually deleting the media cache etc. Any thoughts on what else I could try to get the project moving again?
Many thanks in advance,
Joe
