Disappearing clip markers in team projects

Using Premier team projects. Clip markers get shared and then later disappear. Sometimes a few markers remain. The preference "Write Clip Markers to XMP" is unchecked for all team members. We use clip markers a lot and this is causing a huge headache.

Hi,

I'm able to reproduce the vanishing marker issue in PPRO_14.9, but not in PPRO_15.2.
I'd like to get a reproducible case in-house using PPRO_15.x and could use some more information:

  • What kind of media file type are you using?
  • Are proxies attached?
  • Are you on win/Mac/both?
  • Could you provide a video capture of the issue?
  • Could you create an example Team Project and invite myself (upawlik@adobe.com) to it?

Historical documentary using many different media types.

Our team is on Mac

Hard to create a video capture. You lay down a clip marker. You share it. Your team member does not see it. You close Premier and repopen it and you don't see the marker you layed down before. BUT, some markers that you laid down using eariler versions of Premier are visible. Problem appears to have started with either 14.7 or 14.8. 

Just downgraded to 14.5 and many of our markers are now visible again but many are still missing. Perhaps depends on when the markers were placed and what version we were using at the time.

I tried a test with v15.2 but it did not recover our markers.

I am also banging my head against the wall. Running 14.9 and am experiencing vanishing markers. Upgrading to 15 did not solve the issue. I spend days and days going through footage and and laying down markers only to have them disappear. My team has also experimented with checking "write clip markers to XMP" in order for the markers to be stored locally and that also yields disappearing markers. This is one of the most critical tools in editing. It's unacceptable to have an editing software that does not have market functionality. Please help!!! Days and days of work lost!!

    Absolute nightmare situation, weeks of work marking footage has gone down the drain.  It's as if suddenly my machine can't view any markers whatsoever, whether I've previously added them or if my teammates did so.  Also on 14.9, and ditto re: upgrading to 15 not solving the issue.  If I would've known Premiere teams was this unstable I never would've stopped using Avid.  Adobe, if you care about professionals continuing to use your products I highly suggest you get your act together and fix this issue.
