First time using a team project - No timeline appearing for collaborator

Hi, 

I have set up a team project and sent relevant footage to be linked by colleague and shared my changes (this was adding captions to footage). 

When they open the project they have the files but cannot see anything in the timeline. Not sure where we are going wrong... any help appreciated!
