New "Save unsynced Team Project" feature?

We are now able to "Save a copy" of a Team Project when it doesn't want to sync to the cloud. 
We had to use this feature, but we are a bit confused about what we are supposed to do after. 

For instance,
Editor A worked from 10 to 12 and had to "Save a copy" because their project was not syncing. 
Editor B worked from 10 to 12 but was able to publish normally. 
What does Editor A suppose to do next? Invite Editor B to the "copied" version? If we do that, Editor B's progress is not there. 

What's the best way to merge the copied version of Editor A and the publised version of Editor B?
