Replace footage greyed out in After Effects team projects

Hi all,

We're working with the (beta) team projects in After Effects.

On the most part it works well. However, when we decide to replace a file in the projects window, we find that the 'replace footage' option is greyed out. It possible to import new footage here, and from there of course we can alt-drag to replace the various instances, but it's pretty messy compared to just being able to replace.

Am I missing something? Or is this just a team project bug?

This is an old thread, but I just found the answer.

Media is handled differently in team projects, via the 'media mapping' dialog. This is presumably to account for many different users with different media locations.

There's an explanation of how this works here:

Add media to a Team Project

Link goes to Premiere. Not After Effects.
