Question

Spontaneously lost access to a Premiere teams project

I am working on Premiere 22.1.2

Myself an a co-worker have our own adobe accounts, both with their own teams functionality. We have been collaborating together on a premiere pro project for months now. One day my co-worker opened premiere to find that the teams project had disappeared from his 'open teams project' window. I, as owner of the project, still have access.

When opening it from my account, his name has disappeared from the 'collaborators' list. When trying to re-invite him to the project, premiere gives me an error message saying that he is 'already invited' however his email has disappeared from the list of collaborators.

We have tried converting the project to a regular premiere project, and then back to a teams project again. Then I was able to re-invite him. It worked briefly before the same error occured and he spontaneously lost access once again.

We would appreciate any help.

Hi,
Your first post sounds very much like the account migration issue as dicussed here: moving-team-projects-between-the-new-adobe-profiles
The 'Open Auto-Save error' may be a 2nd issue? Have you tried to rollback to one of the next older Auto-Save versions using the Media Browser - View auto-saves of team projects?
As an alternative are you able to create a new Project based on a Team Project Version - View versions of team projects?

Best, Udo

Sorry to hear about the troubles you are having. To help us better understand what might be happening I have a few questions I'd like to ask.

Can you let me know if you or your co-worker are members of multiple organizations with your Adobe ID? Did either of you receive emails from Adobe over the past couple of months mentioning something about migrating your account to an updated version? Lastly, does your co-worker have trouble seeing any other team projects (e.g. any other team projects also disappear for them)?

Thanks!

Hi Michael,

Thank you for the quick reply!

Both of our Adobe IDs have a "personal" and "business" account options. We always select Business when logging in.

I have done a search and haven't found any emails regarding migrating our accounts to an updated version.

So far, my co-worker can see other teams projects (like tests) that we have created previously.

We had an Adobe representative take remote control of our computers today to attempt to resolve the issue. They weren't able to resolve it, however now when we try to open ANY teams projects our premiere shows the error message pictured. Opting to try and open the autosave comes up with the same error message. This is now happening on both of our accounts. So it seems since Adobe had remote access to our computers, they changed something in our settings or preferences that has caused teams to stop working entirely. We can open regular premiere projects- but not teams projects.
I have since uninstalled and reinstalled premiere and the same issue continues. This is now a new issue that has arisen since trying to get assistance from Adobe.

Ouch! Sorry to hear things are now worse after the help from Adobe's support group.

I'm forwarding this thread to one of my senior QE on the team here to review and reach out to you to resolve.

Thanks for your patience! We'll get you up and running!

Michael
