When I attempt to edit a PDF, as soon as I select edit and click on my page, the program crashes and returns a report. this has reportedly occurred following recent upgrades. I have submitted the reports but not had any feedback

Hi Mringuk,

Thank you for reaching out and sorry for the trouble.

As the application crashes, please try the troubleshooting steps as suggested in the following help documents.

For Windows: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-dc-crashes-on-windows-os.html

For Mac: https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/troubleshoot-system-errors-freezes-mac.html

Check if that helps.

If the issue still occurs, please try repairing the application installation. You may also try resetting application preferences via the steps suggested here: https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-default/td-p/4792082?page=1

If the above steps don't help, try removing the application using the cleaner tool (https://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html) and reboot the machine.

Then re-install the application from this link: https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/kb/acrobat-downloads.html

Let us know if you need any help.

Thanks,

Meenakshi

If it makes you feel any better, I've submitted hundreds of these reports but no one ever contacts me. I'm very certain that these are only viewed internally and never by people who are at a level to contact you.

You provide almost no information on your system so what is your OS and what release. What version of Acrobat DC are you using and what release.

Was Acrobat working before and not now? If so, did you do anything to your system around that time such as update the system or update your Acrobat?

Have you confirmed that the version of Acrobat is designed to work with your computer and/or your system?

Thanks for any info
