Acrobat Pro DC frequent quit

I am using Acrobat Pro DC latest build 20.13.20074.411690 on Mac OS Catalina 10.15.7 and it will quit for no reason a few times a week. I work on PDF documents all day long, with many tabs openned and it will suddenly ask me to save my work and then quit. It also does that sometimes when I wake the computer from sleep. This is very anoying, and is a waste of my time. Also, when I restart it, the option to re open the files from last session is often unavailable.

Is anyone having the same issue and can anyone help?

Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble. As described the application is crashing randomly after you updated to the latest version 20.13.20074 on mac OS Catalina.

 

Please try to reboot the computer once and check if that helps.

 

If it still doesn't work please try to reset the preferences to default as described in the help page https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-default/td-p/4792082?page=1

 

If it still doesn't work, please try to create a new test user profile with full admin rights or enable the root account in mac and try using the application there and check.

Hi,

I have already tried rebooting the computer and resetting the preferences many times, as well as following the steps in the help page. The problem still returns.

So I am constantly saving every pdf document that is openned on my computer, just incase Acrobat quits again.

I will try the new test user solution, but like most people these days, I have lots of work to do and long working hours, and spending time trouble shooting a problem on a software that I pay for every year, is not my idea of time well spent!

we are sorry to hear that the issue still persists. Please try the new test user profile and let us know how it goes. If the application still crashes in the  new user profile please collect the crash logs as suggested in the help page https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/collect-logs-crash-freeze.html and share the logs with us for further investigation.

Please upload the logs to the document cloud https://documentcloud.adobe.com/link/home/ generate the link and share that link with us.
