Acrobat Reader opens pdf but not Acrobat Pro

I have a fillable pdf document that a user has filled out, save, and emailed to me.  The preview opens in Outlook with all of the required fields filled out. I then save the document to my desktop and notice that when I open the document in Acrobat Pro it doesn't have any of the fields populated.  I tried opening the document in Acrobat Reader and everything is there.  Are there some settings that I need to change.  Any help is appreciated.

Hope you are doing well and sorry to hear that. As described the PDF opens in Acrobat Reader but in Acrobat Pro.

 

What happens when you try to open the PDF in Acrobat pro? Do you get any error message? If yes, please share the screenshot of the same for a better understanding.

 

What is the version of the Acrobat Pro DC you are using? To check the version go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the recent version 21.07.20099 installed. Go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.

 

Also try to reset the Acrobat preferences as described here https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-default/td-p/4792082and see if that helps.
