Question

Acrobat UI becomes larger

As of a few days ago, after the first launch Acrobat works normally, but after the second launch the UI becomes larger. Nothing helps. Is it a bug in the latest version? (Windows 11, 4K resolution, 1 monitor).

You’re 100% correct and I’m not sure why this isn’t being reported more widely. I assume it’s due to the specific percentage scaling. The interface is huge.

I’m at 125% scaling at 2560x1600 display resolution, Windows 11,  Acrobat Pro, Continuous Release | Version 2025.001.21265 | 64-bit. Acrobat’s UI scaling is set to “auto” in preferences > general as it always has been.

I’m not suffering from differences at launch, though, this is a permanent change for me regardless of first launch or subsequent launches and has been happening for at least the last two releases.

    Browser version
    Windows 11 desktop application

The difference is obvious. When will this be rectified, Adobe? None of the other CC applications exhibit this scaling behaviour. I can’t rollback to a previous version to compare desktop apps however, I was able to find a screenshot from November of my preferences to exhibit the clear difference.

The left current build is clearly being rendered at a much larger UI scale than the November 2025 one, even though it is the same Preferences window, same page, same screen resolution context, and the same Acrobat scaling setting still shows Auto-Detect.

    Hello @vycanismajoris

I hope you are doing well, and thank you for reaching out. We’re sorry for the trouble you had.

Could you please check this similar community discussion and confirm if you are experiencing the same issue? Adobe window keeps enlarging when opening PDF | Community

If yes, we have already reported this issue to the product team for further investigation.

    Regards,

    Anand Sri.

    Hi Anand,

No, unfortunately that OP seems to be a different issue related to PDF scaling, not Acrobat's application interface. I felt the documentation I provided wold have adequately conveyed the issue.

The issue is Acrobat’s own application interface on Windows. At 125% Windows display scaling, recent continuous builds render the entire Acrobat UI much larger than before. This affects the preferences window, about dialog, toolbars, side panels, buttons, checkboxes, spacing, and overall UI chrome. The PDF content itself is not the issue.

Not that it helps you, but I have Win 11, four 4K monitors, and have not seen this issue.

It happens on my laptop. On my desktop PC it works fine (so far). Same resolution, W11, 1 monitor.

Does your laptop have a touch screen? I’m wondering if Acrobat is getting confused and switching to a tablet-like interface. I don’t have it any more to test, but my MS Surface had the ability to act like a tablet.
