Adobe Acrobat DC Stability Issues

Hello All,

I am experiencing stability issues with Adobe Acrobat DC on a 2019 iMac that is on the latest version of Senoma. It will continously freeze at times when opening and editing PDF documents and eventually crashes. I've tried reinstalling Adobe Acrobat DC, unselected the "Sync preferences across devices and document services." option per online suggestions, deleted all Acrobat plist files, ensured Acrobat app is up-to-date, and unchecked the "Enable Protected Mode at Startup" per online research. Still continiously having stability issues even after going through all of these troubleshooting steps.

Anyone have any other suggestions/solutions?

Thank you,

Hi @MC17450249imvx

Hope you are doing well and thanks for reaching out.

What is the version of the Acrobat DC you are using? To check the version go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the recent version 23.06.20380 installed. Go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.

Please try to reset the Acrobat preferences as described here https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-default/td-p/4792082

You may also try to create a new test user profile with full admin rights or enable the root account in MAC https://support.apple.com/en-in/102367 and try using the application there and check.

If it still doesn't work, please remove the application using the Acrobat cleaner tool https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/Labs/cleaner.html , reboot the computer and reinstall the application using the direct link https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-dc-downloads.html

Let us know how it goes.
